I am pleased to share another phase of my art journey with you. I will soon launch a new series of landscapes in oil,  sizes 6x6, as well as an assortment of 10x10 and 12x12 inch pieces.  They are vibrant in color and rich in content, texture and love... *These works will be up on ETSY by the end of October 2011....

Perhaps you will find something that delights your visual senses, captivates your imagination, or expresses something you cannot put into words.

The language of art speaks; it has a voice.

* Artist Statement:  I received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art at the University of New Hampshire. I enjoy blending realism with the contemporary; to bring them together in a beautiful way. My vision is to create artwork from a fresh perspective without losing the essense of the real, moving into a more personal and expressive impression of nature and landscapes. I love the viscous medium of oil paint, pushing it around with brush and palette knife, even at times carefully scraping it off the canvas to create delightful textures all within the same piece.  Light fascinates me, and I love to paint it coming up over the horizon, through a row of trees, or around a bush; dancing light and cast shadow.  I rarely use black in my palette, for it represents the absense of light, or void darkness.  Even shadows have some light and therefore color in them.  Psalm 36:7-9 says,   "How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light."

Inspired by the Creative One, Himself,  I affectionately create for His glory and to bring beauty to those around me; simply to enjoy the wonder of God’s creation and continue to learn andexplore ways to articulate it...Inspired by other incredibly talented artists of our time, I hope to also inspire viewers and other fellow artists to pursue that which is good and wholesome and pure.

Though it be with a  limited and finite capacity, I endeavor to express my deep admiration, love and gratitude for the wonder-full and personal God that I serve. As I'm painting, I experience a feeling of deep joy and catch a glimpse of the delight in the heart of God, the original Designer and Creator as He fashioned & framed all of creation with His Word, Let there be… Genesis chapter 1

"Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands." Psalm 90:16-17
